द ग्रेट इंडियन ट्रैवलिंग सिनेमा (The Great Travelling Cinema)

जब संदीप मोहन की पहली फीचर “लव रिंकल फ्री” (2012) को सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ फिल्म सर्टिफिकेशन द्वारा ए सर्टिफिकेट दिया गया, तो मोहन ने दो निर्णय लिए: अपनी अगली फिल्म “होला वेंकी” (2014) के लिए सेंसर बोर्ड का रास्ता छोड़ देना और स्क्रीन करने के लिए बड़े पर्दे के बजाय कैफे और पब जैसे छोटे समारोहों को चुनना..। मोहन के नवीनतम "ग्रेट इंडियन ट्रैवलिंग सिनेमा" शुरू किया। मोहन ने 12 शहरों में फिल्म रिलीज करने का फैसला लिया। संदीप मोहन कहते है; अपने दर्शकों से सीधे मिलना हमेशा एक शानदार एहसास होता है। मेरी फिल्मों की द ग्रेट इंडियन ट्रैवलिंग सिनेमा में स्क्रीनिंग के साथ, मैं उन दर्शकों तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद कर रहा हूं, जिन्हें मेरी तरह की फिल्में देखने का आनंद मिल सकता है। हर फिल्म बनाने के बाद, अगली फिल्म शुरू करने से पहले मुझे ऊर्जा और प्रेरणा पाने की जरूरत है। ये स्क्रीनिंग मुझे ठीक कर देती है क्योंकि मुझे यात्रा करने के साथ-साथ कुछ चीजें सीखने को मिलती हैं जो मैं उनके साथ देख रहा हूं।

When Sandeep Mohan’s first feature Love Wrinkle Free (2012) was given an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification, Mohan made two decisions about his next film Hola Venky (2014): to give the censor route a miss, and to screen the film to small gatherings such as cafes and pubs rather than on the big screen. Mohan’s latest production Shreelancer is being given the “Great Indian Travelling Cinema” treatment, as he puts it. Mohan has decided to roll out the film across 12 cities and give it a limited release.

I make films only so that I can express what I cannot otherwise.

I never like over-analysing a film or music or any piece of art. If I "feel" for it in my heart, then it's good. If it doesn't make me feel, then it doesn't work for me. Simple. I try to make my films too keeping this philosophy in mind.

I love Cinema. I love Travel. So I came up with "The Great Indian Travelling Cinema"

It's an experiment. I carry a Projector and screen my films in alternative spaces like Cafes, Pubs, Art Galleries, Colleges, Offices etc. These private screenings allow me to get a first hand feel of how the film is connecting with the audience.
